A pre-procedure consultation is a vital step in the permanent makeup process because it allows for a personalized interaction between the technician and the client. During this consultation, the technician and client can discuss the client's specific needs, preferences, and any concerns they might have about the procedure. This thorough discussion helps to set clear expectations regarding the outcomes, care, and maintenance of the PMU, ensuring that the client is well-informed and comfortable with the process.

Additionally, the consultation provides an opportunity for the technician to assess the individual's unique features, skin type, and any possible contraindications that may affect the procedure. This personalized assessment is crucial to ensuring the best results and client satisfaction, which are central to the practice of permanent makeup. By addressing these individual factors, the technician can tailor the procedure to suit the client’s unique attributes and goals, leading to a better, more satisfying outcome.
